Trimble UtilityCenter software allow electric, gas, water and wastewater utilities to automate their workflow and business processes to increase efficiency and improve productivity.
Tipmont Rural Electric Membership Corporation (REMC) located in Linden, Indiana will be implementing Trimble's UtilityCenter uaField(TM) module to put the utility's GIS at field workers' fingertips, the uaFM(TM) module to provide core GIS and asset management functionality in the office, and the uaView(TM) module to enable mobile workers to view the GIS system in the field. Tipmont also uses Trimble GeoExplorer(R) handheld receivers to collect GPS data and perform electrical pole inventories.
Russellville Electric Board in Alabama selected Trimble UtilityCenter as its enterprise GIS solution. Russellville will be implementing the uaField module for mobile GIS, the uaFM module to provide core GIS and asset management functionality in the office, and eReports for automated reporting that will give management a virtual dashboard of the GIS system. The new solution will also allow the utility to distribute GIS data and interface with its Customer Information System (CIS) to support workflow for utility billing, accounting, engineering, and operations.
